"Dr. Campbell is awesome! This visit I was particularly impressed. The first thing he did was ask if I had any concerns. I explained my symptoms and how I was getting to the point I was concerned about being able to drive at night. He knew exactly what was wrong and how to correct my vision. I had some concerns about the solution, and he had excellent answers that completely eliminated my apprehension. It will be a few weeks before I get the cataract surgery, but I am confident things will turn out well."

"If you are looking for the very best eye doctor in Washington State an opticians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists you have found him Dr. Scott Campbell! It was my wife that recommended that I go see Dr. Campbell with an eye infection that other Drās could not resolve. I had been going to Costco optical in Issaquah for 38 years but my eye doctor retired so I was a little apprehensive. Dr. Scott Campbell and his staff at Spex completely took care of me the moment I picked up the phone to make the appointment. Dr. Campbell also knew my past optometrist at Costco. "Dr. Scott Campbell and I have been seeing each other since 1997. How he manages to look as young as he does means he either has a great work out regime or uses the skin services he sells religiously. All I say is the he is one of the most compassionate, caring, intelligent professionals I have ever met. My eyesight is as good as it will ever be and recently he walked me through the cataract removal process and recommended PCLI (see my review there). As weird as it may sound I kinda miss his funky cute space on Stewart but admit the Olive St. space is truly 21st century modern. The staff knows there stuff and provide personal customer service. They listen to you and makes adjusts made during fittings. From the fashionable frames to the high tech lens he orders. You shouldnāt (no pun intended) look elsewhere!"
"I'm reluctant to tell most people about this place because I want to hoard the good doctor for the cool smart people I know... But here I go! Dr. Campbell took time to read the unusually large amount of information I sent, so instead of a "What can we do for you today?" introduction, he already had plans for us to discuss. I arrived ludicrously early, and they gave me some tea for me to enjoy while they waited to confirm that their no-show was not going to need their spot. My insurance will change next year and I expect my exam here won't be covered. But I'd rather pay to go back to Dr. Campbell than get a free exam from someone who probably wouldn't be as good."

"The staff are absolutely amazing! Our daughterās lens fell out of the frame when we first started a family vacation in Seattle. We retrieved the screw and arrived at Spex with the hopes of maybe a screwdriver and ad hoc repair. We were welcomed with humour and repair skill beyond what we have ever seen (along with some heart-warming stories and brilliant recommendations on what to see around town). Our daughter left with glasses that far exceeded the comfort of the day she got them elsewhere and have been rock solid ever since! "Nice glasses selection and amazing, friendly service! I needed a quick repair done on my glasses after a screw fell out. After calling in, I was able to make an appointment for the same day, and they were able to quickly make the repair I needed, adjusted the arms to fit better, and provided me with a new case for my glasses. I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything I received was complimentary! Will definitely come back here when Iām in the market for a new pair of glasses."

"From my first call, the interaction was great. The woman that answered the phone was so friendly and helpful. They sent me a link to fill in my forms online ahead of time, so I didn't have to do anything once I arrived. They are open on Saturday one day a month, which is super helpful. They also greeted me with the option of a drink when I came. Dr. Campbell was great. He explained everything that he was doing and explained what everything meant. It's the most thorough exam that I've ever had. I'll be back and highly recommend. They also have a great selection of glasses."

"I arrived at the Downtown location on time and was checked in by a friendly and professional staff. Dr. Campbell, DO, is thorough and explains each testing step without talking down to one. The equipment is fully up to date and the tests themselves non-intrusive. Back at the front desk for new glasses was both relaxed and efficient. All told, the entire office visit was accomplished in about an hour and I left fully confident in the results."
"I used to work near Spex. They have a wonderful array of frames to choose from. The only drawback is, it makes it hard to choose and I found myself purchasing more than one pair. Make sure you give yourself some time when youāre shopping because youāll need it to make some decisions. While they are priced higher than your basic stores, they offer unique frames that really stand out. Youāll receive many compliments on your glasses and its unlikely youāll see them on everyone elseās faces. While I have never purchased frames for myself there, I have purchase two pair for my husband and one for my sister-in-law. All on the same day. Sadly, I found two pair elsewhere just before I dropped in. I am however, having them put new lenses in a pair I love and already own, but Iām sure Iāll buy my next frame from them. Customer service is very good and they really take an interest in helping you find the right frames, not only for your face, but for your personality. My last visit was because my sister-in-law took a fall and broke her glasses. They couldnāt be repaired but were still under warranty. They had one in stock, so she popped out the lenses and put them in the new frame and in 5 minutes we were done with no charge. I highly recommend Spex."

"I visited Spex to see if they could help fix the frames of a couple pairs of glasses. Even though I didnāt purchase these from Spex, they were very welcoming and willing to help. One of the pairs had an arm that kept falling off. Since I didnāt buy them there, they didnāt have the materials they needed to fix it. But instead of saying no, they went out of their way to solve the problem, using spare materials for their own frames, even though they were not designed the same, and she was able to fix the arm back on. Most of all, I was surprised in the end that they didnāt charge me a single cent! Only thing to note: they are no longer on Stewart. Their new address is not on Google maps but itās on their website. Theyāre in the medical dental building."

"This is the first time I've had fun at an optometrist appointment. I played a light video game thing to test for glaucoma, got a cool scan of my eyeball showing the nerves and retinal attachment, and another scan to check eye-related brain tissue. Dr. Campbell explained every procedure and result and seemed excited that I had questions, unlike some other places I've been too that seem to be trying to push patients through as fast as possible. Dr. Campbell also used the minimum necessary amount of eye dilation liquid, so I was able to go right back to computer work without needing sunglasses inside. Even with the recommendations I was nervous, as I have had a lot of bad curly haircuts in the past. As soon as I met Tina and she sat down next to my chair and specifically asked what I wanted. Stephanie helped me book my appointment and is so nice and has great customer service, it just made it that much easier to book. I can't wait to come back for my cut in February 2018. Friendly, constantly up to date on the latest in his field but never uses the knowledge as a tool to push some new fad or extra charge. It can be a few years and he remembers small details about my life. He takes time to explain whatever questions you have in a way that a non medical person can understand. If you have ever been to a eye care facility where they have overbooked on purpose and you wait in the waiting room like sheep for your turn a visit to Spex would be the exact opposite of that. Coffee, water, or whatever you might need are always offered by the friendly staff."

"I love Spex. Dr. Campbell is the best by far. What other doctor do you visit who starts your appointment by saying "First, let me thank you for allowing me to work for you." I mean seriously!! The whole team at Spex is genuinely kind and caring. They make everything easy, from setting the appointment, greeting you when you arrive, and checking you out at the end with all the insurance stuff handled and goodies in hand. Dr. Campbell takes plenty of time with you, never makes you feel rushed, explains exactly what he is looking at and what is happening with your vision. Honestly I can't give enough stars or kudos. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My only regret is that the only way to see him is up a flight of stairs as I would love my 88 and 92 year old parents to experience his awesome care, but there is no way they can climb those darn stairs :("
